Project Description
Which opportunities does Colombia offer for design, architecture and urbanism? During a fact finding mission more than 50 people were interviewed in Colombia and the Netherlands. The final report gives insight in the Dutch offer for the sectors mentioned, the Colombian demand and a strategy to make a match.
The follow up of the fact finding was a trade mission mid april 2016. More than 20 Dutch creative offices joined the mission. Results are presented to the participant of the trade mission and at the FILBO Bogota in May 2016.
Market research Cycling
The Dutch Cycling Embassy researched the opportunities for the Dutch biking sector in Colombia. This was a project for the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO, Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland) and the Dutch Embassy in Colombia. The research started with a fact finding mission in February 2015 and a presentation at the World Bike Forum in Medellin (click for more information). We are the coordinator Colombia of the Dutch Cycling Embassy en and were part of the team that did the research and presentation. Click here to read the final report.
The Dutch Cycling Embassy is a public private network. The Embassy operates in the field of urban planning and mobility. It is an intermediary between the demand for Dutch inputs (expertise, products and services) and Dutch parties that can deliver. In 2014, we became a partner of the Dutch Cycling Embassy. The Embassy promotes cycling and cycling culture abroad. To encourage cycling, it takes more than a cycle path, it’s about culture, smart links, pleasant surroundings and a good mix of bottom-up initiatives and top-down policies. We are connected to advise from an urban perspective on cycling and urban planning. Click here for more information about the Dutch Cycling Embassy. We have advised and/or presented in several countries such as Panama, Costa Rica, Argentine and Colombia about how to stimulate cycling and how to make cycling beneficial for cities.
