Dream about the future of Amsterdam. April 12th the Volksvlijt exhibition opened in the public library of Amsterdam at the Oosterdok. Twelve designers were asked to think about the future of the economy in Amsterdam and we designed the circular economy port of Amsterdam. Probably not known, but Amsterdam is the largest petroleum port of the world! Coals and other fossils are the most important goods that are shipped an traded and this is not a good starting point for a fossil free future. The circular economy opens opportunities and we showed how this economy could transform the port.
