The final presentation of the Region of the Future will take place on the 22nd of march. We were part of the team that did research by design to the spatial implications of the circular economy in the province of Zuid Holland. The lessons learned from this spatial design research are used for the National Environmental Vision (NOVI). The guiding principles at the NOVI are:
– combining functions instead of single uses of space
– local flavor an identity of an area should be central
– prevent postponing/off-loading in time and place.
The potential of design professionals is needed for future tasks that require innovation and integration. That is why BNSP and NVTL have taken up the challenge together to organize the Region of the Future.
